First of all, I want to say thank you.
Second, Gordy. You are a very handsome man. Yes, there are women who choose a large guy over a smaller type guy. I chose one big fellow and I am attracted to larger men.
The posts on here are the nicest thing I have seen in so long.
A lifetime of feeling as if I would be pretty "if" I could only lose the weight....from friends and my own family.
As if being the heaviest in our crew was an embarassment to them.
I am a short pudgy woman, have lost down to a mere 130 lbs before was no more happy than now at 190.......and I still prefer the larger male....but this thread just made me feel so less alone...Thanks guys....hugs, Porchbird
Hi Gordon! Sounds like you've gotten a couple of doses of what I've experienced also. All I know is that I have a lot to offer and would be a phenomenal girlfriend/wife for the right guy. (By the way, thin athletic guys are a real turn-OFF for me. I love a big, tall man, someone who can wrap me up in his arms ... :-)}You seem like a really wonderful man. Please don't give up! God has a plan for you! It's all good! May His blessings on your life abound above all that you could ever ask or think!
This topic has come up on another msg board that I frequent and the majority of the bbw women preferred a large "teddy bear' of a man. I think that maybe it's like another lady said on here that a larger woman might feel more accepted by a larger man.
I, myself, go with "chemistry". I have dated larger men. I am attracted to tall men. I like slender men. Do you see a trend here? LOL I go with my sense of attraction--CHEMISTRY, in whatever form he may come in.
Gordy, I haven't looked at your profile pics. Do you have any full body shots? Even though the thought of posting full body shots leaves many of us with a feeling of dread, it's a good idea so that there are no surprises. BUT, what the woman said to you was just plain wrong.
Nothing like laying in the arms of a big man.........wow! I can say that I am truly about substance - - body type is not that important to me. I say "not that important", because let's be honest - there's gotta be some physical attraction to begin with. I've never dated smaller men until recently, 'cause that seems to be all that asks me out - - taller, thinner, and much younger. Strange......where were all these guys when I was there age? Oh, yeah - I was married - LMAO - being the good lil' wifey! If I only knew.....
GORDY - when you come to the States - holla at your girl!
Musicnut your a woman after my own heart.you are quite lovely,I always wanted to see OKLA.I'm an old cowboy at heart.Yes we larger folks do understand what each other are going through and I do feel more comfortable with a larger woman. to me larger women are just sexier and realy turn me on.I like to look at smaller women and like a lot of them but when I think about hugging or just holding one I just can't see or feel no one other than a larger woman,it just feels soooo right.so tell me about Ok. Eddie B.
Yes... women like large guys!!! I prefer large. Since I'm very large, I feel more confident and accepted by a larger man. As long as he is takes care of himself... and that has nothing to do with size.
Just as with BBW's it's a preference... not a judgement hopefully.
By the way... too bad you're not in Okla... I'd definitely be interested in meeting you! lol
Alllright nottwiggy,I feel ya talkin.your absulultly right,I love ya for that statment, thats how its supossed to be but it isn't most of the time, and I think some of us have turned some one away because of the way they looked, even though they had a realy nice personality, they might have made a good mate and we know it but we turned them away anyway. true or not,can we be a little honest?
I will find my Mr. Right one day. I know he is out there some where. I know that I am a good kind caring person and I know that GOD did not make me without making a partner for me.
So, I do not know what Mr Right looks like just yet. He may be tall he may be short, he may be a size 6x or he may have a 30 inch waste. I will recognize him by the way he makes me feel when he talks to me, looks at me, and touches me.
Now will all you frogs will line up single file so that this princess can find her prince?
Hey Gordin, man I realy know what you mean,I am a BHM,i'm 6'4'' and 435lbs,I used to have a very athletic build as I played football and I also wrestled when I was younger(profesionaly)so I carried my weight very well, but women just did not like me only because I was big. They loved my personaltyt and I didn't look bad but I was just to big.I love a larger woman,I like to play wrestle and I like to hug,and cuddle but it's was hard for me to hug a little woman, they always felt like they were going to break(even tho I am gentle as a lamb)and making love oh my,there was nothing to caress or to kiss on,in other words NO MEAT!I am a meat eater.but when I try to talk to a larger woman she imeditly shuts down, maybe they think we're to big to do any thing altho that's just not true(I know)so just what is it with us,is it to much like looking at yourselves? I know skinny people will make fun of two big people,i'm sure you all know all of the cliche's.is it to imberrising?or do they want the skinny guys?I mean we all fantisize about that well built person who's great looking,si it we just don't feel normal? Eddie B.
Gordy, you seem like a sweet guy to me! Of course I just love English accents, and a guy who has one gets my attention fast! I've dated guys of all sizes, and I like skinny guys as well as bigger guys. It all depends on the person and how much his voice makes me shiver! (giggle)
But, even though I love those accents, I've heard one or two guys who didn't have that neat voice I like. So, I think it all depends on the person's entire makeup. Good sense of humor, accent, and how much he likes my two adorable pet piggies and would be willing to move to Florida with me! I can't move because of the awful quarantine laws in the UK and Australia, so I'm pretty much staying here in America. If I met a sweet guy who would be willing to move here or who already lived here, I'd be happy as a clam! He would also have to like the sea and enjoy being in western Florida with me and the piggies!
So, I think everyone has their preferences, good or bad, and our job, as it were, it to find our match who has all the attributes we want and need to make each other happy! (grin)
I wish everyone great success in their search!
Laura...still dreaming of guys with English accents and Florida's white sandy beaches...(grinning)
Gordon, Jack and all the other BHM on this site, you guys rock!!!! i mean it! There's nothing sexier than a big, handsome man with a big tummy just made for wrapping your arms around. Don't ever give up on finding that special woman who will appreciate you for who you are.
I tend to look for other qualities before I look at the guy's size. Does he have a great laugh? nice smile? good teeth (that'a a definate!) hard working hands? wedding band(haha)? What he actually says is most important of all. I'm not into bragging, whining, arguing, yada yada... BUT, if he can hold a conversation, (that isn't initally about politics or religion or only himself)and has a good sense of humor, THEN I'll consider his size. I've dated men of all size types, too skinny and I'm self concious, too large and I felt smothered when we cuddled (breathing is good!). I usually feel most comfy with someone who is physically and mentally my equal, but that's not a hard and fast rule. Besides, aren't rules made to be broken?
I can only speak for myself and personally I dont care what people look like, it is and always will be personality what counts.
Im a big lass myself and have had same responses as you Gordon, by one or two guys, water off a ducks back to me.
Give me a big strong guy anyday...nothing like a great big bear hug from a strong guys arms, to keep you smiling!
