Oh been to SO many great concerts ... Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Korn, Metallica, Pantera, Velvet Revolver , The Doors of the 21st century, Nirvana ..... etc etc ... but am seeing Motley Crue Saturday and I think thats going to be AWESOME !! Tommy Lee ..... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Jamiroqai is playing the same night as Motley .... Sydney will be buzzing on Saturday night !
The last concert I went to was Pearl Jam...origonally the concert had sold out but the day of the concert they released 300 tickets...we were told that there might be an obstructed view but we took the tickets anyways...our seats were in row 29 but when we got there we realized they had removed the first 20 rows and we were in the 9th row and there was no obstructed view...I had a great time and loved every minute
Ahh yes and it is now almost upon us 2010 summer concerts..woohoo.. I have been feeling very deprived this winter not enough concerts to keep my mojo up with one exception I went to see U2 on the 360 tour they were awsome of course second time I have seen them but the highlight for me was MUSE !!!!! OMG I about wet my pants when I found out they were the opening band (Should have been a headling tour for them) I know that they are not as well known on this side of the pond as a matter of fact in all my journeys to Europe and elswhere I have never been able to time it to catch them live. Well it was worth the wait !!!! MUSE ROCKS I am grateful to a cat on here who introduced them to me because they have become 1 of my favorite bands, even though he turned out to be a bit of a @@@@ but he is now forgivin only because it lead to one of my best musical expieriences EVER!!!!So if you find the stars aligning for you and MUSE comes to your neck of the woods GO SEE THIS BAND you will not regret it! Stay breezy and keep ROCKIN :)
at this huge fountain/park in my city called the point the black eyed peas and tim mcgraw played it was sick the music was so good i didnt realize i was standing up for like 3 hours straight :) oh yeah this was in the summer
I last saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers with the Foo Fighters at U of Illinois in 00'. Of regional bands I saw Duke Tumatoe and the Power Trio in 07' & 08' and for those who don't know who he is, he's a blues/rocker and one of the founding members of REO Speedwagon before they *made* big.
Last Sunday I saw The Killers at the Royal Albert Hall, London ...... totally AMAZING gig
The audience were all around the building 360 degrees but Brandon and the boys managed to play to everyone and had us all up amd joining in from the first note, great stuff!
Last night I saw The Feeling at Southampton. They were amazing, a really great pop band who write and play their own stuff with the odd 80s cover thrown in for fun. They're not afraid to rock it up with some screaming guitars too - a brilliant night out!
Not heard of them? They're getting quite big in the UK, and you can hear some tracks on their website which isn't exactly hard to locate!
The last concert I went to was Mindless Self Indulgence, it was brilliant. I've also seen, Korn, Metallica, 30 Seconds To Mars and have been to a few festivals.
Tomorrow night I'm going to see Mika (Abit diff from the other bands! lol) for my friends birthday.. should be a laugh
Relived some of my 80's metal teen years last night seeing WASP with about 5 opening bands including the Bulletboys of "Smooth Up" fame. The first band, Pillowface, did a metal version of the B-52's Love Shack. Quite a headbangin night
I hadn't been to a concert in MANY years, but last week, I took my 15 year old daughter to see Chris Brown for her birthday. We had an ABSOLUTE blast, I had forgotten how nice live music was and the show was superb. For young performers, Chris and some of the others put on a fabulous show. I am definitely going to start seeing live performances again soon. :-)
