I would go along with this discussion, meeting the wants and needs of a partner, discussion, frank and open so you both know what is needed and respectful consideration for feeling, this builds trust and affection. A lot to do with heart.
I think nowadays kinks are "very vanilla" to the point where nothing shocks people anymore. It's cool though. I am fond of latex, boots, menthol (don't ask) and club soda or anything bubbly! :D
