I workout Monday through Friday. So Mon. Wed. and Friday's consist of 3 sets of dumbell curls, 3 sets of preacher curls, 3 sets of bench press, 3 sets of incline and decline press. Then 200 crunches. Tues. and Thurs. 3sets each on machines that work the back, shoulders and tricep muscles. I am unable to do much cardio due surgery on my right and left knee. I can still work my calve muscles though.
I made a playlist to time myself for an hour of workout and 10 min of stretching. It is everything from Brazilian to hip-hop. Music is good inspiration. So here is my workout..sorry I change according to music so I don't know times.
Well, I have no real routline. From time to time I start to jog, three times a week for 1hour. I'd like to do sports more regularly, but I find it just hard sometimes.
Unfortunately I have no money for the gym :(
It would maybe help me.
I'm just so lazy^^
And I'm definitly not the person for team sports!!^^
i hit the gym 5 days a week. I have a balanced routine planned out by my trainer. I also bike to and from the gym. And on the weekends, i do many active sports such as water skiing, skiing, hiking, inline skating, rock climbing, softball, etc...
im still chubby, but hey, i feel good...and it has helped me drop quite a few pounds. but i think ill always be curvy...lol
I feel totally humbled by all you balls of energy out there. My joints (knees in particular) are sometimes pretty bad with arthritis, not helped by carrying such a hefty load.
I started aquagym about a year back and when there are no classes (linked to school term times), I really miss it. Two sessions a week, an hour each time. It does make a difference, particularly mentally. Anyone who has joint problems, try it, it's definetly the way to go.
I've tried walking but end up worse off. I guess it's a question of finding something that suits your lifestyle and your physical capabilities.
hmm this is my first time ever in the forum i usually stick to the blogs
but well i thought id give my two cents on this subject
well a formula that always works
and john behstau of fitness made simple made millions from this formula or how ever u spell his name
anyways Resistance training at a cardio pace
being a personal trainer of 5 years
of course depending on the clients goals
but every one wants lean muscle
anyways hope that helped if not oh well its 4am iam kinda drunk so sue me :)
Well with my job i gotta exercise everyday. I get up around 400 am and get ready. On monday, wed. and fri we run. On tues. and thurs. it is all about the upper body. Weekends i take a break. The keys to a great work out is muscle memory. You got build the endurace first. Second is you have to take breaks or split up you workouts to let you muscles heal. If you don't it will hurt you more than help you.
In the last six months I haven't done any exercise and I gained almost 100 pounds. I'm now trying to stabilize my weight by trying to walk more everyday but I think I've gotten too fat to do so. Just getting up is so hard I must give it 2 or 3 trys before actually getting up. I use a cane and can only walk short distances. But I insist on trying everyday, just hope I'm not simply too fat to walk.
Like many people who responded, I go on walks 4 times a week that last at least half an hour, then I hit the gym 3 times a week for half an hour. I enjoy fast-walking, and since I live in a mountainy place, it does wonders for building cardiovascular strength. I resumed going to the gym after a year-long break because I missed weight training in addition to cardio.
For u People in the US, there was a article in the USA WEEKEND, for men basically they are saying, "Guys, your middle is top priority". Great article basically says u don't need to have a 6 pack but we need to get healthy. right of the bat is reccommends getting active, walking everyday...repeat everyday. Trust me here in Las Vegas after dark u are still busting a sweat after the first 10 steps. Good Luck to you all.
Walking is so important!
I haven't walked much for the last couple months, since I met Julian and now I can really feel it. Julian has a lot of difficulty walking because of the size of her breast. I gained so much weight in the last two months, probably 30 pounds - I could weight as much as 520 now... I had to get my leather trench coat enlarged and my stretch pants are at the limit.
So I decided to start walking again but it is now very hard, I get out of breath very quickly and I'm super exhausted after a walk. My back and my feet hurt. I can barely walk more than a couple blocks at a time. I have to avoid sitting down since getting up is very hard so I lean against something when I stop to rest. But I will keep doing it more and more so that even if I keep gaining weight I'll at least be trained again.
Every morning i do breathing and stretching exercises. In the afternoon, i walk about 30 min. Its something that's my lifestyle along with the way i eat. If I get bored with the walk in the afternoon, I'll bike or just change my route.
Hey, thanks for the positive boost! I agree that exercising regularly is important and it makes me feel a lot better. I'm still over 450 pounds but I walk everyday for a couple hours, as much as I can.
