I really love scary movies but can't seem to find any friends that like to watch them with me. I don't like a lot of gore, just suspense...like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Salem's Lot, The Shining, etc. I also love the Evil Dead Movies and love zombie movies. Night of the Living Dead, Return of the Living Dead, etc. Anyone else out there?
I like any movie that can scare me. Be it zombies, supernatural, horror-sci-fi, even comedy horror or slasher.
A lot of the best scary movies are ones that deal in the psychological and make you think 'oh snap! this could actually happen!'
I saw the Human Centipede and it was distrubing. My friend almost heaved. I'm watching Cemetary Man right now.
I like the supernatural horror movies (vampires, witches, werewolves, zombies). Not such a big fan of slasher/ general gore movies. A+ for horror movies that can make fun of themselves. Saves me the effort of doing it. I have a tendency to laugh at the parts that would probably be considered the most serious, even if I'm being creeped out and enjoying the movie. Some of the effects, acting, and/or dialogue are just ridiculous.
I am a scary movie freak, ever since i was a kid my sister, brother and myself have watched every scary movie in the book, and we analyze them,up to this day we are the same way and so are our children, every halloween we watch the same thing, Halloweens friday the 13ths ,psycho the black and white version, texas chainsaw massacre, new and old, sleepaway camp, the exorsist, and the list goes on....we love scary movies in my house
My friends all think that I'm crazy because I am a horror movie wimp. I watch them and love them, but I won't sleep for days. The movies with scenarios that could really happen, like wrong turn, etc. don't bother me at all. The supernatural movies with the devil, or ghosts scare the poop out of me. I saw the Ring and didn't sleep until my 7 days were up
Love, love, love scary movies. I just watched 'Black Christmas' but I found it more campy than scary. I like to be scared out of my skin. I enjoy the Texas Chainsaw movies. One movie from my childhood that scares me just thinking about it is 'The Night of the Scarecrow'. I am sure it I watched it now it wouldn't be near as good. The last scary movie that I saw that I couldn't shake was the 'Blair Witch Project'. I was scared to be out at night after that!
I LOVE scary movies...I like the type of movies that could have happen or are maybe happening and we will never know....like WRONG TURN and WOLF CREEK....Texas Chainsaw Massicare....these movies freak me OUT!!!!!!!. BB Jeanie
Actually, I saw the American Grudge and we kind of laughed after seeing the ghost woman, she almost looked like a white baloon going up and down. I did see the Japanese Grudge and it made more sense and was creepier. The Japanese Ring movies were really good, especially the 2nd one. The second American one was very lame.
I have to say that I went to college in Springfield, MO. SMSU. I live in Seattle now. It was so beautiful.
That is so cool that there are other women out there that like scary movies too. I belong to Netflix and am the same way, probably HALF of my Queue is horror. I love Foreign scary movies too. Have been going through a lot of Japanese and Chinese horror movies AND from Italy.
From the 50s and 60s I really love a lot of Alfred Hitchcock movies and a lot of movies with Vincent Price.
