Oh wait, just remembered....the first time I saw a boy and thought he was just incredibly attractive...it was in some magazine like life or national geographic and it was one of those amazing photographic portraits. It was a head shot of an exquisite East Indian boy, he had huge kohl lined green eyes, nutmeg colored skin with the luminosity of rich wet georgia clay, full lavendar lips that curved around very sraight white teeth and a mop of black hair that was damp with sweat where it met his skin like he had been playing hard and stopped just long enough to have his pict taken. I must have been like 5 or 6 at the most. I tore out the picture and slept with it under my pillow till it finally fell apart. My mother was just mystified at my obssession but did not try to disuade me. There was no name or any details on the boy - it was purely his beauty that drew me. So funny. I'd forgotten about that.

Yep on the Monkeys it was Mike Nesmith - he wore the knit cap. The others were...let me think...Mickey Dolans, Davey Jones aaaand Peter I think it was. Yeah I liked those boys too. But I have to admit I never really had the "crush" like my girlfriends did on celebrities. I had a "boyfriend" Tommy in first grade and by third grade seemed there was always someone I was going steady with...so I was kind of focused on the neighborhood. Plus my two older brothers would not have put up with me mooning around for celebs...they'd have ridiculed and mercilously teased me out of it. And they also kept the "boyfriends and steady's in line. Ahh to be the youngest and only girl in a Southern family.

OMG How did I forget about Nick Cage...I crushed on his ever since I saw him in Peggy Sue Got Married. Christen Slater has also earned a place. Randy Jackson and Ronny Devoe (new edition) had my musical heart. You know that French Guy from Mission Impossible 1...he gets an honorable mention.

Ok, I'm going to have to fess-up and admit that I've liked Sean Connery for years. There's nothing like seeing him in The Medicine Man and The Rock. mmmmmmm.... Love the accent! Jeff Goldblum is a good contender as well. Vibes is one of my favorite movies as well as the Jurassic Park series. As for the younger generation....Brendan Frasier is dreamy....especially in George of the Jungle....kind of stupid but boy does he have a nice body. His mamma blessed him with some darn good genes! LMAO

How could I forget Bobby Sherman, Davy Jones, Donny Osmond and Michael Jackson in the Jackson 5 days. And just do be different the tall guy from the Monkees. Damn. What was his name? His mom invented white out or something. Now I'll be frustrated all day. Oh! I think I remembered. Mike Nesmith? And yeah. My sister and I and our friends sang in a "band" too to all the songs of the day thinking we were going to be big someday. I think we were 9 or 10. The memories. lol

Smoosh, I am your generation. All those names ring bells as heart throbs of the day. I recall having a momentary thing for Lief Garrett - but it was the character not the actor that did it for me. He was some orphaned pony express rider. And when younger = like preadolescence the young Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond were held up as puppy love fodder. But this is the funniest...and I have only started to admit it outloud in recent years. I thought that John Denver was a suitable model by whihc to judge possible husband material...I am thinking that was around the age of 11 or 12? I had no real attraction just thought he would be a good guy. I am so embarrassed.

George Harrison from the Beatles was my biggest crush, there was also Davy Jones from the Monkeys.. OMG nodrama I just remembered a scene from Animal House where Donald Sutherland came out of the bedroom with just a sweater on. Now the sweater covered everything but his legs until he raised his arm to get something out of a kitchen cabinet, and there it was the cutest butt I had seen (up until then) Very nice butt :) I think I'll have to watch that movie again TONIGHT..

LOL Stacy my mother used to sing backup for him (SPRINGFIELD) back in the day. All she ever said was how much of a jerk he was (1970 something) lol so I liked him just to irk my mother. =)

I'm with you on most of these but Bobcat Goldthwait? I will have to look at him again and see if I can see it. I used to have a huge crush on Rick Springfield. I wanted to be Jesse's Girl in that song. lol

FIRST crush? Oh God. I'm showing my age here, but it would probably have to be Elvis in the late 60s. Oddly enough, I'm not really an Elvis fan. Second crush would probably be David Cassidy (Keith Partridge) or Barry Williams (Greg Brady). Growing up in the 70s don't ya know.
