My ex called last night and wanted to act like it was old times. I told him about passing on some heirloom wedding rings to my cousin who is getting married in two weeks and he asked why I did it. I told him the truth. That I thought m grandmother would have wanted it that way and of course I let it slip that "its not like I'm going to need them anytime soon"
He went silent and said it was a mean thing to say and hung up the phone on me. I cried for 30 minutes. I don't like being mean. Yet I can't see how telling the truth is mean. So yes...if only. |
