My friend and I were talking about how to get a man to read our profiles not just look at the pictures.
Men read maps - men read instruction manuals what else do men read and how do you create a profile that looks like an instruction manual as a profile to date a woman?
Should we outline our profile? Should be put in number order? do an A - B -C?
how do you make it easy for a man to look through a profile? I really think women do read the profiles, not just look at pictures for the prettiest face and body style that they like.
Okay how ????

A Key A key to open our souls to share with others. No need to share that key, but intime it would be nice to retool my heart so that my partners key fits and works
RW I really like that, a key which insinuates knowing how to unlock ones heart. Very deep sir.
Stick around with us, your insight is wonderful. I'm glad you're here.

Have you considered that maybe I want you to built it the right way the first time because I have more uses in mind for your tools and am just waiting for you to get it right on a simple project before moving onto something more complex.

Oh!!! I see!!!

Love is like putting a piece off furniture together. You get directions....you throw them away. Then a guy fondles the parts, grunting appreciatively and in anticipation. Then he moves the parts in various positions seeing if they are pleasing to the eye. Is it just right? As he begins using his tool(s) he listens to see if the parts make any unnerving noises as his tools press against the parts. In the end he wipes his tool(s), looks with deep satisfaction at the task he has completed. Ah yes exercise is good for the soul
No manual required.
On a serious note. Keep it simple, keep it short, say what you want. Don't say what you don't want. Stay positive. I wish we could use bullet points
ROFL ... I know what you mean Root. Looking at the directions isn't my first thought either ... where's the fun in that? Just give me a good set of tools, let me get my hands on them and I'll figure it out.
But I don't mind a little "safety first" conversation about the tools. Or even a little "It works well like this" conversation because after all, girls like tools, too. I deeply admire and respect how wonderful a good tool is, and I think a little care and appreciation can insure a lifetime of rewarding home improvement projects.
But there's no reason you couldn't look at the directions now and then, especially if they're well illustrated. It can be helpful. If you do it together it can also be fun ... and if it's an important job, two heads can be better than one.

You're Right naturally, men look at pictures. I think that there has to be a way to attract more interest.
I was also wondering if the activity dwindles now, closer to the holidays? or does it increase?

Aimee, personally as the nights draw in I'm likely to be on here more rather than less, but not to any great extreme.
In terms of this site, when I look at the "members online" there are seldom more than 20 or so and of those many have their profiles hidden or are female.
When I do a search, all but the first 3 or 4 have not been online for a month plus. Those 3 or 4 have had the same profiles/pics up here for several years.
So it's not always how to attract more interest, but is there anyone here whose attention you want to attract??

I think that both men and women are guilty of this actually. There are quite a few men who have quoted something to me I said in my profile and I was actually shocked they took the time to read it....and of course impressed that the took the time to read it....lol I personally read profiles because I don't want to waste my time on someone who is not what I am looking for or I am not what they are looking for.

If it were that easy, I think we should try to do something-- outline, summarize, anything! lol.
I don't know if I fall to the category in searching for the handsomest face / body, but I do read their profile. If they're cute (to me at least) and they have qualities I'm not too fond of such as smoking. I can tolerate socially drinking, but overly drinking or "weekend warriors" I'd pass it up.
Also who actually took the time to write what's in their profile is always a plus. More reassuring that maybe they're REAL?
I'm still a wee bit of a skeptic.
