Blog title: Hello, I'm new, interested in making friends!
Blog description: Hi, I've just joined and am interested in making new friends. I'm a little shy about what to do here...although I'm hoping this is one place I won't be judged on my weight! I often feel intimidated in public places, and sometimes even with my thin friends.
Anyway, please contact me if you want to chat!

Okay, I live with my sister, who's almost 9 years younger and a size 6. (No, I won't introduce you.) But one of the worst things other than just being side-by-side with her is shopping with her. She can walk into any store, pick up anything off any rack, (find it in her size, obviously), and look gorgeous in it. I hate to even watch her feet under the door when she's trying stuff on. She turns this way and that, admiring herself. WHEN I VERY VERY RARELY even go to a store to buy clothes (I have much more luck shopping over the Internet), trying clothes on is like torture. I have never, ever, in my wildest dreams, been a size 6. Once upon a time as a teen I dieted myself into a 14, but I can't imagine ever seeing that number again.Anyway, it's just so horribly disheartening. So that's my gripe for the day.
I'm just curious who loves to read here. I'm an editor, which makes it difficult to read after hours sometimes. However, I'm currently reading: Murder Most Royal by Jean Plaidy; Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones; True Faith by Sid Prise; The Destined Queen by Deborah Hale; and Black Dawn by L.J. Smith. I've got Everville by Clive Barker on my library table, and want to pick up Innocent Traitor: A Novel of Lady Jane Grey from the library. So what are you guys reading?
Hello, I'm new here and a little shy about what to do. I'd like to make some new friends who don't judge me by my weight! Lately I've been feeling intimidated in public, and sometime even by my thin friends, even though they don't mean to. Anyway, please let me know if you'd like to chat. Thanks!
